If you got here via link in Premiere Composer's error dialog, please try the troubleshooting in this article.
Troubleshooting method 1
Make sure your operating system and Premiere are updated to the latest available versions. This is by far the most common problem.
- Restart computer
- Update Windows/Mac
- Update Premiere
- If on a PC, also make sure all your drivers are up to date
Troubleshooting method 2
Please try to reinstall Premiere Composer plug-in.
It's easy. Just open the Mister Horse Product Manager (you can access it from Premiere Composer's menu by selecting "Manage Products") and click the "Uninstall" button in the list. After it's done, the button will change to "Install." Click it to install the plug-in again.
This method might work because reinstallation fixes plug-in itself and it's dependencies.
Troubleshooting method 3
Clear Premiere Pro's media cache. Here is guide from Adobe on how to do this:

Make sure to close all open projects before doing so. After cleaning up the cache restart Premiere, just to be sure.
Troubleshooting method 4
Reinstall Premiere Pro using Creative Cloud app.
We had some reports that uninstalling & installing Premiere again solved some strange issues.
Troubleshooting method 5
Remove the plugin cache and data folders.
Mac
- Open Finder
- In the Finder menu select Go -> Go To Folder
- Paste:
~/Library/Caches/CSXS/cep_cache/
- Delete all folders that contain
tv.misterhorse
- In the Finder menu select Go -> Go To Folder
- Paste:
~/Library/Application Support/MisterHorse/
- Delete folder called
PremiereComposer
Windows
- Navigate to
C:/Users/<USERNAME>/AppData/Local/Temp/cep_cache/
- Delete all folders that contain
tv.misterhorse
- Navigate to
C:/Users/<USERNAME>/AppData/Local/MisterHorse/
- Delete folder called
PremiereComposer
Troubleshooting method 6
Remove all other extensions. We received some reports that other extensions may cause strange interferences (black screen or cannot import anything). Please, remove all other extensions and try if that solves the issue. If yes, then install them one by one to find out when it starts happening again.
