When generating captions from the Animated Captions pack, you may see the error “Transcript is empty. Make sure that the audio has spoken words and is not muted.” If this happens, create a transcript in Premiere before trying again in Animation Composer.
1. Open the Text panel
In Premiere, go to Window → Text.
2. Select the Transcript tab
In the Text panel, make sure you’re on the Transcript tab.
3. Generate a transcript
Click Generate transcript and wait for Premiere to finish transcribing your audio.
Note: If your Text panel looks different from the screenshots above, try updating Premiere to the latest version.
4. Try again in Animation Composer
Once the transcript is ready, return to Animation Composer and try generating captions again.
